Registration for training: Language-supported training in human resource management (HR)
Are you looking for a job in HR or marketing in Finland?
We offer a free training program in business administration focusing on HR Management in the autumn semester 2025. The program is designed for Finnish language learners at an intermediate level (B1). You will complete all your studies in Finnish, but you will receive support for studying in Finnish.
The training program is worth 40 ECTS credits, including 30 ECTS of business administration courses and 10 ECTS of Finnish as a Second Language (S2) courses. You will also get personal career guidance to support you in marketing your skills in job search.
How to apply:
Apply by filling in the application form carefully. The selection process will take place at Metropolia’s Myyrmäki campus in Vantaa, either on May 20 or May 26. If your application is successful, you will receive an invitation to attend on one of these dates. Please be prepared to participate between 8:00 and 17:00.
Invitations to the selection process will be sent out during the first two weeks of May. The selection process includes a Finnish language proficiency test and a group interview. Student choices will take place in June 2025. The training accommodates 30 students.
Selection criteria:
The person selected for the training must have:
1) at least intermediate Finnish language skills (B1).
2) a higher education degree or studies in business administration, economics, or a related field (e.g., social sciences), you are eligible to apply. The degree may be from Finland or abroad.
The selection process is based on the applicant's
1) language skills
2) educational background
3) professional experience and motivation
If there are more applicants than available spots, the following criteria will be applied:
- Proficiency in Finnish
- A higher education degree in business administration or economics
- Work experience in human resources management or other business-related roles
If applicants meet the criteria equally, the order of registration will be taken into account.
The HR training will take place between 11 August and 15 December 2025 and is free of charge for the participant. Classes are held mainly on-site at Metropolia's Myyrmäki campus in Vantaa. Some lessons will be delivered online. Classes are scheduled on weekdays (Monday to Friday) between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The training also includes some independent studying besides classes.
